On bended knees, where hope is found,
In silent prayers that make no sound,
A heart laid bare, a soul set free,
In the quiet, I come to Thee.
The weight of life, so hard to bear,
Brings me here in humble prayer,
With every tear, a whispered plea,
On bended knees, I seek to be.
In moments when the world grows dark,
And doubt has left its bitter mark,
I turn to You, my only guide,
On bended knees, no pride to hide.
The trials faced, the battles fought,
The lessons learned, the wisdom sought,
Lead me here, where I can see,
The strength found in humility.
On bended knees, I find the grace,
To lift my eyes and see Your face,
In every challenge, in every storm,
Your love, a light, forever warm.
I come with burdens, worn and frail,
With heavy heart and spirit pale,
Yet here, I find a gentle peace,
As fears and worries start to cease.
The road behind me, long and rough,
Has shown that faith alone's enough,
To carry me through endless night,
On bended knees, I see the light.
In every dawn, a new day's birth,
I find the reason for my worth,
Not in the world’s fleeting embrace,
But on bended knees, in sacred space.
For in this place, I find the truth,
A wisdom far beyond my youth,
That all I need, I find in Thee,
On bended knees, eternally.
So here I bow, in still repose,
Where every prayer, each moment grows,
In trust that You, my guide, will lead,
On bended knees, You meet my need.
Through every joy and every pain,
In loss, in love, in every gain,
I know that You are always near,
On bended knees, I have no fear.
And when the final day arrives,
When all is done, and hope survives,
I’ll find my peace, my rest, my ease,
On bended knees, eternally at ease.
